Hey y’all!

I had a very eventful weekend to say the least! It’s been full of new music and new people, so I figured I’d share!

I drove out to Monteagle, Tennessee this past Thursday for a song writing retreat, where I spent a couple of days reuniting with friends from the previous retreats and also meeting new friends as well!

It’s an annual retreat, hosted by Amanda Williams as part of her Song Writing and Music Business community and it’s always such a fun time.

It’s a really cool thing actually, because there are a handful of people that always go every year that I have formed friendships with who come from all over the US and even one from Barbados, so we only really see each other once a year and we’re kind of like a little family and I love that. We all share the same passion and it brings us together.

I have actually been really sick with a sinus infection that has just been lingering for the past couple of weeks (sorry to inform you) so I was under the weather the whole time, but I still managed to have a fun time and write some new songs.

The whole weekend really showed me how special song writers are. There is nothing cooler than a group of people who share the same passion for putting words to melodies and listening to all the beautifully different ways that we put them together.
