Recently named as one of the 10 great hospitality photographers by Hospitality Design Magazine, Dennis Anderson is an internationally known commercial and residential photographer whose fine art photography is in the permanent collections of the New York and San Francisco Museums of Modern Art A native of New Jersey Anderson received a B.A. in art from Antioch College and then studied under Imogene Cunningham. As an accomplished master of lighting, Anderson has traveled to Asia, South America and throughout the United States shooting feature assignments for resorts, restaurants and designers. His photos have appeared in numerous books and magazines including Architectural Digest, Hospitality Design, Interiors, Designers West, California Homes, Vogue Living, Resorts and Great Hotels, Oceans, Maritime Life and Traditions, and Rolling Stone.

Andersons coffee table book, Hidden Treasures of San Francisco Bay, was published in 2004. It earned accolades from Senator Diane Feinstein, and photo-shows at the SF Academy of Science and the SF Airport Museums. Anderson was later featured on the popular television program Bay Area Backroads with Doug McConnel on KRON Channel 4.

Public speaking comes naturally for Anderson and his series of seminars called the Magic of Architectural Photography has been accredited by the ASID and AIA for CEU credit.. This year speaking engagements and slide show presentations have alternated with architecture and interior assignments giving Anderson several ways to share his photos with the community.

Anderson currently lives on his wooden fishing boat, a 45 ft. Sardine Lighter built in the Bay area in 1926. If not there, he is at his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon He has made his living with his camera for three decades and maintains a photo studio in San Rafael, near his boat slip, at the Loch Lomond Marina.
